Feeling fatigued from the negative news headlines?

The emotionally draining newscycle doesn’t show any sign of slowing down. Avoid news fatigue by getting focused and slowing down.

We started What’s Up Wantedly to be more mindful and strategic about what you’re consuming. Each month, we’ll curate a trending topic in the hiring landscape so you’ll still be that informed and up-to-date person.

“Quiet quitting” is the latest buzzword in the workplace. What it means isn’t literal. Rather, it describes a rejection of the hustle culture of going above and beyond what their job descriptions entail.

While quiet quitting helps with maintaining healthy boundaries at work and removing oneself from toxic productivity, this phenomenon costs companies money and affects the morale of existing employees. If the shift in employee behaviour becomes dire, HR needs to step in because of these production gaps.

The employer and employee are responsible for creating an environment where their talents and contributions are noticed and appreciated. Addressing challenges surrounding disengagement and a culture that fosters a sense of belonging will mitigate the risks of quiet quitting.
